Park Adoptions

Hampton and Iona Parks have officially been adopted!

Through the “Clean Up the Capital” initiative run by the City of Ottawa, the Hampton and Iona Community Group has officially been appointed as the adoptee of the two local parks in our area.  We have agreed to clean up Hampton and Iona Parks at least twice a year, each Spring and Fall.  We have been doing this for many years but decided to make it official. We are always looking for families to bring their rakes and lend a hand.  Stay tuned for the next clean-up date in the Spring.  Many hands make for a quick clean up.  Thanks to all the neighbours who have lent a hand in the past – our parks are looking great

And if you ever see destruction or graffiti in either park, just dial 311 to report it to the City and they will send a team over quickly to clean it up.
