Greenhouse Gas Roundtable event at City Hall

The City is hosting a Greenhouse Gas Roundtable event in City Hall’s Jean Pigott Place on Saturday, March 23rd from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will feature expert commentary from well-known panelists and will focus on the City of Ottawa’s current and future strategies for managing climate change through collaborative efforts to curb GHGs.

Break-out sessions and a general plenary will provide an opportunity for members of the public to share ideas and strategies on questions such as:

· What practical strategies can Ottawa adopt to most effectively reduce GHGs?
· What GHG reduction solutions offer the fastest payback and have the lowest barriers to access?
· What utilities and companies can work together to provide effective GHG reduction synergies?
· How can Ottawa best promote efficient appliances and building features?

Please confirm your attendance and provide suggestions for potential discussion topics to: Enviromarch23@ottawa.ca. The deadline to book your seat at the roundtable is March 20, 2013.

As space is limited, we ask that individuals register early for this event.
