Proposed Townhouse Development – Hilson and Clare

Falsetto Homes has purchased the lots at the corner of Hilson Avenue and Clare Street (565 Hilson Avenue and 148 Clare Street).  The area is currently zoned for single and semi-detached dwellings.  Falsetto is proposing to build 7 townhouses and 2 semis on these lots.  The property would have to be rezoned in order to allow for the townhouses and the developer has advised that they plan on submitting a rezoning application. Given the size of the site, the existing zoning would allow for up to 6 semi-detached houses.

Rosaline Hill, the architect for Falsetto Homes will be holding an open house meeting on Thursday, April 24th to discuss their plans.  The meeting will take place at 7:30 pm at the Loblaws Superstore in the upstairs common room (by the test kitchen).  Please find attached a letter from Rosaline Hill outlining her client’s plans for the site.

We encourage as many people as possible to attend this meeting.  It is important that the residents of the area are aware of this in-fill development and that your community association know the views of its members.
