Upcoming AGM – April 11

This is a reminder that on Wednesday April 11, 2018 the Hampton Iona Community Group will be holding its AGM. The AGM will be held at 7:00 pm in the community kitchen in the Loblaws Superstore. The kitchen is on the second floor and is fully accessible.

At the AGM we will be reviewing our past year’s activities. This will be a chance to learn about what your community association has been up to for the past year, meet new neighbours and hopefully attract new volunteers for the wide range of activities that we want to pursue.

As per our rules regarding elections, if you are interested in running for an executive position (President, Vice-President, Treasurer or Secretary) we ask that you submit your name to Ken Hoffman ( by March 28th at 9:00 pm. We ask for names in advance so that anyone running will have a chance to prepare for an election if more than one name comes forward for that position. If more than one candidate is nominated for a position, we will have an election for that position and the candidates will be advised after March 29th if there will be an election for that position so that they can plan their campaign. Those wanting to join the board in a non-executive position are welcomed and encouraged to sign up the night of the AGM. If there are no candidates by March 28 for a specific position, the incoming board may select someone for that position. For general inquiries about the AGM, please go to
